Füsun Akatlı  (b. 1946) Graduated from the Faculty of Letters at Ankara University in 1966. She holds a Ph.D in philosophy from Hacettepe University. In her critical essays she tackles literary and philosophical issues. Her principal works are: Niçin Diyalektik (Why Dialectics/1980), Yaz Başına Neler Gelir (Write Whatever Befalls You/1980), Bir Pencereden (Through a Window/1980), Edebiyat Defteri (Literary Notebook/1987), Zamansız Yazılar (Timeless Texts/1994).
